Cookies
This page describes the storage this Failsafe website actually uses. It is a draft. It is not an approved cookie policy, and it does not invent advertising or analytics tools that are not on the site.
What this website saves
Failsafe code on this website does not set advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or social-media tracking cookies.
- failsafe-cookie-pref is written to local storage when you choose Accept or Reject. That single value remembers your choice so this notice does not appear on every visit.
- failsafe-a11y is written to local storage only if you Accept. It can hold text size (100, 125, 150, or 200 percent), contrast (default or higher), and motion (follow the device or reduce motion).
- If you Reject, accessibility choices are not kept in local storage. They can stay in this tab's session storage until the tab closes, so a refresh during the visit does not lose them.
Nothing from these choices is sent to a Failsafe server from this page.
What happens if you reject
Rejecting still saves the rejection itself. That is necessary so the banner can stay away. The site then avoids storing accessibility choices beyond this visit.
The future product
This page only describes the public website. It does not describe cookies or storage inside the Failsafe application, because that application is not delivered from this site yet.
